Fuertaventura is like nowhere else in the Canaries, you will love it. It has endless white sands contrasted by the turquoise blue sea. Like other islands in the Canaries it is volcanic in origin so you can take in all the elements of sandy beaches, dunes and volcanoes.
The Corralejo Dunes National Park is located in the north of the island where you will find a wide area of dunes and nearby is Lobos Island with a lighthouse and the keeper is the only person living there. At the southern tip of Fuerteventura is Jandia where most of the hotels are located and you can lose yourself in the wide expanse of white sandy beach. It is a great place to windsurf and explore.
Water sports are very popular in Fuerteventura. Every year hundreds of surfers, windsurfers and divers descend on Fuerteventura. In July the island is host to the P.W.A world windsurfing speed and slalom event at Sotavento in the south.
There are also many new attractions where tourists can discover different aspects of the Island's landscape and culture such as the Betancuria Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography and Tefia Craft Village. Fuerteventura is just simply a beautiful island and we insist that if you visit you will find this gem a great place to buy a villa or apartment not just to give you pleasure but a fantastic investment.
Lanzarote is the island of 300 volcanoes, with breathtaking scenery. The name comes from the Genoese explorer Lancelotto Malocello who reclaimed the island from obscurity. Lanzarote's development of tourism has been dramatic over the last 30 years and despite the rise of visitors, the island has preserved its natural and cultural heritage. Lanzarote has opened a network of art, cultural and tourist centres paid for by the local government.
The spectacular volcanic scenery coupled with the wonderful climate attracts visitors from all over Europe. Lanzarote is a year round island with very little fluctuations between the seasons which means that villas and apartments can demand a high rental return. Lanzarote has over one and a half million visitors a year who visit mostly the Puerto del Carmen, Costa Tequise and Playa Blanca resorts. You can see from the map of Lanzarote that the southern area has a giant bay where the resort of Playa Blanca is located with another smaller resort nearby called Papagayo. Papagayo is an old fishing village but is fast being gobbled up by the much larger Playa Blanco. However the beaches at Papagayo are some of the finest in the Canaries if not the whole of Spain. This resort has grown rapidly over the years and the beauty of the coast is a perfect setting with its luxury hotels and impressive marina. The Marina Rubicon provides up to 400 berths for luxury yachts and you can watch the world go buy in one of its many bars and restaurants.
The wide range of leisure and cultural activities and a very good tourist service make Gran Canaria a great place to visit or to live. It is located between Tenerife and Fuerteventura in the Atlantic Ocean. Dominating the centre of the island is the mountains crowned by Las Nieves peak and in the southern part are the sandy coastal flats like Maspalomas. The north of the island is very rugged with cliffs that rise up to 1000metres. The climate is ideal and sub-tropical with an average temperature of 20 degrees C. The capital is Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and is a lively place during the day and night. Museums, theatre, music, fun, sports and richly varied cuisine make up its many pleasures with also the chance to relax on Las Canteras beach in the very heart of the city. It is the seventh largest city in Spain and the largest in the Canaries.
It is a bustling commercial centre and there's also much to be seen, the old quarter of Vegueta (where Santa Ana Cathedral is situated), the Casa de Colón, the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium, the CAAM (The Atlantic Modern Art Centre), and the Science and Technology Museum. The local population has made the most of the potential of Gran Canaria. In the tourist resorts of the south, the extensive Maspalomas coast has many varied leisure facilities e.g. water parks, woodlands with exotic birds flying free, underwater spectacles, yacht marinas and golf courses.
Apart from its magnificent beaches, constant sunshine and varied scenery, Gran Canaria gives you the chance to try outdoor sports at any time of the year including diving, golf, water sports of every kind and beach volleyball.
As with the other islands in the Canaries, Gran Canaria is an all year round resort with great returns on rental property.
